Before my profession as a building/home inspector I was in construction in the mid 70's through '85 building room additions, remodeling homes and worked on track homes. I also assisted in the termite inspection field, which included structural repairs on residential and multi-units.

November of 1985 I became employed as a home inspector. In 1988 a couple of businessmen and myself started a home inspection company that grew with 7-10 inspectors that I trained and supervised. We were doing 75 to 100 inspections per week throughout southern California. With that experience, in 1990 I became completely independent and became involved with the California Real Estate Inspection Association (CREIA) educational dinner meetings and weekend seminars. In 1994 my peers elected me President of the CREIA Orange County Chapter ('94-'95).

In 1995 through 1998 I started inspecting large housing tracks for attorneys on class action lawsuits as a generalist specialist. I worked with experts specializing in Roofing, Structural, Mechanical/Heating & Air, Building Walls and Windows. I also investigated and documented the houses during destructive testing, pertaining to building leaks and structural failures.

In 1998, on a new housing tract of large homes I was hired by the buyers as their inspector before or after the move in. I inspected 35 of the 63 homes that were built. The homes had many defects and the owners recommended me to each other. The builder and subcontractors started to build better houses after the homeowner complaints due to my inspections.

In 2001 I worked for a builder doing quality control phase inspections on a track of 12 large homes from the slab up.

Presently I inspect residential, multi units and commercial buildings of any age. I also do pre-drywall or phase inspections and one year warranty inspections an new homes for the consumer. With my experience I have found working for the consumer is what I enjoy best. Providing a personal service for my clients is very rewarding. I like my clients to be on site with me during the inspection or at the end of the inspection so I can explain my findings and give my time and knowledge. My inspection fee may be a bit more as an in depth inspection takes longer, therefore I do less inspections per week to provide you with the best inspection possible. Quality over quantity!
